The harmony between an idea and a yarn

Behind every effelle amigurumi there is a journey that always begins the same way: with a blank page. It is a quiet moment, where I try to give shape to a feeling rather than a precise idea. Something tender, never intrusive, that finds its balance before the details even appear.

The emotion of a line

Drawing is the most instinctive phase. I set the proportions and the character of the figure before they change. My amigurumi almost always begin this way: a little chubby, with soft features, designed to convey calm. I like to call them "never loud." They do not seek attention at all costs, they are not excessive. Even when there are details — even in the most complex projects — I always look for balance. A quieter kind of beauty, made of small particulars discovered slowly, stitch by stitch.

A palette that accompanies

When I move from drawing to yarn, the choice of materials becomes part of the project. I feel very at home with the slightly matte and dusty tones of the Pica Pau line by Hobbii. It is not a random choice: these are colours that convey a sense of calm and help maintain harmony even in the details. Cotton remains my favourite fibre. I love it because it defines the stitches well and enhances the shape without distractions.

The care behind each pattern

The longest, and perhaps most invisible part, is writing the pattern. I always seek a balance between clarity and lightness: I do not like to fill every page with images, but I also do not want to leave doubts in the important steps. The goal is to guide, without overwhelming. To offer a pattern that is precise, but also enjoyable to follow.

A different pace

Creating an amigurumi takes time. It is not a fast process, and it does not always need to be. There is something very beautiful in building slowly, round after round, watching a shape come to life in your hands. This is the pace I try to bring to every piece I make.
